Beech Leaf Disease (Litylenchus crenatae mccannii)
Beech Leaf Disease (BLD) is thought to be the result of infestation by a nematode (worm) Litylenchus crenatae mccannii, but this organism has also been fund on asymptomatic trees. Signs of BLD include leaf yellowing and dark striping between leaf veins.
